Monday: More Than a Seat

Reflection: It’s possible to be welcomed into a room and still feel like you do not truly belong. Paul gives the church a better picture. You are not merely an attendee in Christ’s family; you are part of His body. God Himself has arranged every member, and that means your place is neither accidental nor unimportant. The same is true of the people around you. It is easy to notice those who seem confident, capable, or familiar while overlooking someone whose needs, abilities, or communication style are different. But the church is not built around convenience. It is built around Christ, who joins people together and gives each one a place. When you begin seeing people as God-arranged members instead of interruptions, your posture changes. You stop asking whether someone fits easily and begin asking how God may want that person to strengthen His body through their gifts, faith, and story.

Application Question: Who might God be inviting you to see differently—not as someone on the edge of the church family, but as someone He has intentionally placed within it?
