Reflection: You open your Bible hoping for encouragement, and a sentence unsettles you instead. It touches the reply you defended yesterday or the apology you keep postponing. Your impulse may be to move on until you find something more comforting. But what if this interruption is the help you prayed for? James describes Scripture as a mirror. Its purpose is not fulfilled when you notice what it shows and then walk away unchanged. God invites you to respond to what you see. You do not have to fix every weakness before breakfast. Start with the one thing becoming clear. Listen without preparing your defense. Let Jesus show you where your actions have drifted from your confession of faith. His truth may interrupt your plans, but you can trust his goodness. Today, encouragement might arrive as the courage to make the apology you have avoided and begin walking in a different direction.

Application Question: What truth have you been quick to acknowledge but slow to act on, and what would receiving it look like today?
