Reflection: Most of us do not wake up planning to be led away from God. Drift usually begins quietly. A desire gets fed, then fed again, until it starts asking for more room in your life. Peter describes people who became so ruled by appetite that desire became authority. That is why Sunday's question matters: what are you feeding right now? Pay attention to what gets your time, imagination, money, attention, and emotional energy. Those things are shaping you. This is not meant to make you suspicious of every enjoyment. It is an invitation to notice which desires are becoming louder than God's voice. You do not have to wait until something controls you before bringing it into the light. Jesus meets you before the rut is deep. Ask Him to show you what is growing inside you, and trust that His grace is strong enough to redirect you even today.
Application Question: What desire has been receiving enough of your attention that it may be getting stronger than you realize?
