Reflection: You can recognize danger and still hesitate to leave it. Perhaps you know a relationship needs boundaries, yet fear the awkward conversation. Maybe you want freedom from a habit but dread telling someone the truth. Knowing the next step does not always make taking it easy. Lot's rescue includes an uncomfortable detail: he lingered. The messengers took him and his family by the hand and brought them outside the city. Genesis explains their rescue through God's mercy. That mercy did not make staying safe. It brought Lot out. You can receive the same reminder: God's kindness is not an invitation to remain where sin is harming you. You may feel embarrassed that you need help. Bring that embarrassment to Jesus too. Ask him for courage to receive support through a trustworthy believer. You do not need to disguise your hesitation. You can admit it and take the offered help today.
Application Question: Where are you lingering despite knowing the next step, and whose trustworthy help could you accept to move forward?
