Thursday: Prepare Your Answer

Reflection: Peter assumes the hope in your life should be so visible someone may ask about it. That does not require you to have every answer or win every debate. It means your response to pressure should look different because Jesus has changed you. When others panic, you can remain steady. When people insult you, you can answer with gentleness. When circumstances disappoint you, you can trust God. Those reactions create questions, and questions create opportunities. Your task is not to defeat people but to point them toward Christ. Think about how you would explain your hope in one minute. What has Jesus done for you? Why do you trust Him? How has His resurrection changed how you face hardship? Prepare those words, but also prepare the tone. Truth spoken without gentleness can misrepresent the Savior you describe. Let your life create curiosity, and let your answer direct attention to Jesus.
