Reflection: The Good Samaritan did not merely feel compassion; he crossed the road and served with costly love. That is where mission becomes visible. People may not understand your theology at first, but they can recognize mercy. Serve with love. Look for needs that are close enough to touch: a lonely neighbor, a single parent, an overwhelmed coworker, a new family at church, a missionary family needing encouragement. Serving is not a substitute for the gospel, but it can become a bridge for the gospel. It says, “You matter to God, and you matter to me.” Around the world, missionaries often begin by learning needs, building trust, and showing Christ through humble presence. You can practice that same posture where you live. Today, refuse to walk past pain too quickly. Ask God to show you one practical way to embody the kindness of Jesus clearly, patiently, and personally today in faith.
Application Question: What specific need has God placed close enough for you to notice, and what step of service could you take this week?
