Reflection:
Children often learn what love feels like before they can explain what love means. They experience patience, forgiveness, correction, safety, and tenderness through the people closest to them. That is a weighty calling, but it is not meant to crush you. Ephesians 5 does not say, “Be perfect.” It says to imitate God as beloved children. The order matters. You reflect the Father best when you first remember you are loved by Him. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, mentor, teacher, or spiritual influence, your life teaches. Your apologies teach. Your prayers teach. Your tone teaches. Your dependence on Jesus teaches. Today, don’t focus on becoming flawless. Fall before God and ask Him to make you more like Christ. The next generation does not need the illusion of perfection. They need to see a surrendered life that keeps pointing them back to Jesus again with humble faith today and tomorrow.
