Reflection: It is possible to read the Bible and still resist what God is saying. You can underline verses, listen to sermons, take notes, and collect insights without changing direction. Peter’s concern was not novelty. It was transformation. The question for today is not, “What thing can I learn?” but, “What has God shown me that I need to obey?” Maybe you need to forgive someone. Maybe you need to confess a sin, become more generous, begin praying, share your faith, or repair a relationship. Do not settle for a vague intention to “do better.” Name one truth and one step. Before you read Scripture, ask the Holy Spirit to show you what obedience looks like. Then act on what He brings to mind. You do not need a new truth before you obey the truth you already have. Growth happens when God’s Word moves from your mind into your life.
Application Question: What one truth will you turn into one specific action before this weekend is over?
