Reflection: Peter was not passing along a rumor. He stood on the mountain and saw Jesus’ majesty. He heard the Father’s voice. Years later, with death approaching, Peter still pointed back to that moment because his faith was rooted in what God had done. Your faith does not rest on wishful thinking or a story invented to make life easier. It rests on Jesus, who entered history, revealed His glory, went to the cross, rose again, and will return. That matters when your feelings wobble. Some days God feels close. Other days He feels distant. Your circumstances can shift quickly, and your emotions can shift even faster. But the truth of Christ does not change with your mood. When doubt comes, you do not have to manufacture certainty. You can return to what God has revealed. Faith grows stronger when it keeps looking away from changing feelings and back to Jesus.
Application Question: What feeling or circumstance has become louder than the truth of who Jesus
is, and what would it look like to return your attention to Him?
