Reflection: Peter compares God’s Word to a lamp shining in a dark place. A lamp does not show you the road. It gives you enough light to take the next step. That can be frustrating when you want God to explain the next five years, solve every uncertainty, or show how everything will work out. Often, He does something different. He gives you enough truth for the next decision and invites you to walk with Him. Maybe you are waiting for clarity about a relationship, a job, a difficult conversation, or a decision. Scripture may not answer every question you have, but it will shape the kind of person you should be while you wait. God knows what is down the road even when you cannot see it. Your responsibility is not to predict every turn. It is to pay attention to the light you have and obey the next step.

Application Question: What next step of obedience is already clear, even if God has not shown you what comes after it?
