Reflection: Ruth went home with barley, but the story was not finished. The nearer redeemer had not answered. The marriage had not happened. The future was not fully settled. Still, she carried evidence that redemption was already moving. You may be living in that same kind of space. God has shown His faithfulness, but not everything is resolved. There are prayers still unanswered, wounds still tender, relationships still complicated, and decisions still unclear. Waiting can make you panic, grasp, or assume God has stopped working. Naomi’s words help us breathe: “The man will not rest but will settle the matter today.” Your Redeemer does not abandon unfinished work. Jesus is still working, and He has promised to come again. So wait with hope. Not because today is easy, but because Christ is faithful, present, and committed to bringing His redemptive work to completion. He will not leave you half-redeemed.
