Reflection: Paul says that when one member suffers, all suffer together, and when one member is honored, all rejoice together. That is a picture of shared life, not distant concern. In a healthy church, another person’s burden becomes something you help carry, and another person’s joy becomes something you celebrate. This community requires more than Sunday morning friendliness. It requires commitment. You learn names, notice needs, make adjustments, invite participation, and stay present when doing so costs you something. The goal is not a separate ministry for people who seem different. The goal is to become one body that cares for every member. That begins with your own choices. You may not control every building feature or ministry decision, but you can help shape the culture around you. You can notice, listen, include, invite, and honor. When each person does that, the church begins to look like the family Christ intended.
Application Question: What is one specific way you can help our church become a place where people are not merely welcomed through the door but genuinely known, needed, and included?
