Reflection:
You may want God to show you the whole story before you take the next step. Ruth did not get that. She did not know Boaz would be in the field. She did not know her ordinary work would become part of God’s redemptive plan. She only knew Naomi needed food, and there was a field where she could glean. Sometimes obedience feels too small to matter. A phone call. A prayer. A hard conversation. Showing up when you would rather withdraw. Opening Scripture when your heart feels dry. But God often guides through ordinary steps, not dramatic signs. Ruth “happened” to come to Boaz’s field, but heaven was not surprised. Today, do not despise the small step in front of you. What looks ordinary to you may be the place where God has already prepared provision you cannot yet see. Walk faithfully, even when it seems unnoticed by others.
