Reflection: Peter calls Jesus the living stone, rejected by men but chosen and precious to God. That means people can reject what God treasures. They did it with Jesus, and they may do it with anyone who belongs to Him. So you have to decide whose evaluation carries the most weight. If you build your life on approval, you will keep renovating yourself for people who keep changing their minds. But if Christ is your cornerstone, He sets the direction, shape, and alignment of your life. You do not adjust Jesus to fit your preferences. You align yourself to Him. That sounds costly, and it is. But it is also freeing. You no longer have to chase every opinion or fear every misunderstanding. Life can be built on the One God calls chosen and precious. Today, ask where you have been adjusting your faith instead of aligning your life to Christ.
