Reflection:
Ruth came home with far more grain than a normal day of gleaning should have produced. Naomi saw the barley, heard the name Boaz, and hope began to break through her bitterness. Nothing was fully solved yet. Ruth was not married. The future was not settled. Naomi’s losses were still real. But a small sign of grace reminded her the Lord had not forsaken the living or the dead. You may be waiting for God to fix everything before you believe He is working. But sometimes He gives enough grace for today as the first sign He is restoring hope. Do not miss the small mercies because you are demanding the whole answer. The text invites you to look again. Where has God sustained you? Where has He provided just enough? Where might today’s barley be pointing to tomorrow’s redemption? Ask God for eyes to see it today.

Application Question:
Where have you been so focused on what is still unresolved that you may be missing the small mercies God has already placed in front of you?
