Reflection: Hope often gets tied to things that can change quickly: health, finances, family harmony, approval, plans, or the direction of the world around you. Peter gently pulls your hope away from those fragile places and anchors it in the resurrection of Jesus. Because Christ is alive, your hope is alive. It is not wishful thinking. It is not optimism dressed up in spiritual language. It is a living hope secured by a living Savior. You have an inheritance that cannot spoil, fade, or be stolen. That does not mean today will be easy. It means today does not get the final word. When anxiety asks, “What if everything falls apart?” faith answers, “Jesus is risen, and what matters most is guarded by God.” You can grieve losses without becoming hopeless, because your deepest treasure is kept where fear cannot touch it. You are held by mercy and headed toward glory.
Application Question: What has been carrying too much of the weight of your hope lately, and how can you intentionally re-anchor your heart in the resurrection of Jesus?
