Tuesday: Strength With a Towel

Reflection: The world often measures strength by control, volume, success, or the ability to never look weak. Jesus shows you something better. In John 13, the One who had all authority got up from the table, wrapped a towel around His waist, and washed feet. True strength did not need to prove itself. It bent low in love. That kind of manhood, and really that kind of discipleship, is not passive or soft. It takes courage to serve when you could demand. It takes humility to lead without pride. It takes security to love without needing applause. Jesus does not call you to only perform strength; He calls you to receive His life and reflect His heart. Today, ask where your picture of strength has been shaped more by culture than by Christ. Then let the towel and basin remind you: greatness in God’s kingdom looks like humble, sacrificial love daily.
