Reflection: When Ruth asked Boaz to spread his wings over her, she was asking for more than help. She was asking for redemption, covering, and a future. That image reaches forward to Jesus, the Redeemer who does not merely give you things from His field but brings you into His family. It is possible to come to Jesus mostly for relief. You ask for strength, peace, provision, healing, or direction. None of those requests are wrong. He cares about them. But the deeper invitation is to come for Him. The woman in Luke 8 reached for the fringe of Jesus’ garment with desperate faith, and Jesus did more than heal her body. He called her daughter. That is what grace does. It brings hidden, trembling people into the open and names them as beloved. Today, come to Jesus honestly. Not polished. Not pretending. Just needy and ready. Come under His wings.
