Reflection: Jesus sends a man who had been changed back into his own home and city. His mission field was not far away at first; it was familiar. That can feel both comforting and terrifying. It is often easier to imagine sharing Christ somewhere else than to live sent among people who know your habits, history, and weaknesses. But Jesus does not ask you to be impressive. He asks you to be faithful. Eat together. Open your table, your lunch break, your front porch, or your calendar. Shared meals turn strangers into neighbors and neighbors into people you can love by name. Global missions matters deeply, but local mission is not a lesser assignment. The same gospel that must reach the nations must also reach the people around your table. Today, consider who God has already placed in your ordinary path and make space for them with intentional love this week.
Application Question: Who could you invite into a simple shared meal, coffee, or conversation as an intentional step of love and mission?
