Reflection:
Boaz did more than give Ruth permission to work. He brought her near his workers, welcomed her to the meal, and instructed the men not to harm or shame her. God’s provision for Ruth included community. That is easy to admire in her story and easy to avoid in your own. You can attend church and still keep people far enough away they never really know you. But if a Ruth 1 season came into your life this week, who would know you well enough to show up? God often protects, strengthens, and encourages His people through His people. Community is not a backup plan for when life falls apart. It is part of God’s design for helping you endure faithfully. Let someone pray with you. Join the conversation. Make room at your table, and let others make room for you too. This is where grace becomes visible. Start this week.
Application Question:
What is one step you can take this week toward being more deeply known, more faithfully present, or more available to someone else in Christian community?
