Reflection:
Prayer becomes deeply honest when you say, “Your kingdom come, your will be done.” Those words are beautiful, but they are not safe words for a selfish heart. They invite God to rearrange your priorities, correct your motives, and lead you beyond the borders of your own comfort. Many of us know how to ask God to bless our plans, but Jesus teaches us to surrender our plans to the Father. Lordship means you stop treating prayer like a way to get God behind your agenda and begin letting prayer bring you under His rule. Today, pay attention to the places where surrender feels costly. That may be the exact place where God is inviting you to trust Him. Freedom is not found in getting your own way. Freedom is found when His will becomes more precious to you than control, comfort, or applause. Say yes before details make sense.
Application Question:
Where are you asking God to bless your will instead of honestly surrendering to His?
